This is Principal Shannon Marshall with some important updates.
Please check your student’s attendance on ParentVUE. If you notice discrepancies in your student’s attendance, please check with your student and/or contact our attendance team.
Congratulations to Jack Luxenberg! Jack is a senior and two-year captain of Stadium soccer and was named WIAA’s Athlete of the Week for Week 32 of 2025-26. There are only twelve athletes honored each week from all sports in all divisions across the entire state. Way to go, Jack!
Congratulations to Eric Luna-Soto, who won the First Place State Award at the Washington Poetry Forward Competition. Eric will read his original poem, “Between Two Shadows,” at an event hosted by Governor Ferguson at the Governor’s Mansion. Thank you for representing Stadium, Eric!
Congratulations to Nicole Camek, who received the Bronze Award at the National Association for Korean Schools’ speech contest. Congratulations as well to our students who placed in the Peaceful Unification Advisory Council’s Korean stamp design contest: Natalie Law (Gold Award), Elaine Canfield (Bronze Award), and Anniston Erwin (Bronze Award).
Daily Schedule
On Monday, April 20, Stadium Boosters is hosting a special event in the Stadium Theater. Please see more details below.
Wednesday, April 22, is a late start day. School will start promptly at 9:15 AM and buses will run one hour later. Staff will be not available until 8:50 AM and Stadium’s doors will open one hour later at 8:50 AM. Please plan accordingly.
On Wednesday, April 22, we will host Workday Wednesday from 2:45-4:45 PM in the Stadium Library. Students must go directly to tutoring after school and arrive by 2:55 PM.
Stadium Yearbook
This is a reminder to purchase your yearbook at the Stadium Business Office. The price of the yearbook is $65, and it will increase to $75 on May 1.
Junior Class Takeover
The Class of 2027 is hosting a takeover at Panda Express on Friday, May 1. This is available all day on May 1 at any Panda Express location in the country! Please order online using the code, 9014370, and a portion of the proceeds will benefit the Class of 2027.
Summer Credential Programs
Summer Credential Programs offer a unique opportunity for Tacoma Public Schools high school students, and partnering Maritime|253 district students, to receive free training from industry experts, earn industry recognized credentials, earn credit towards graduation and advance toward career employment opportunities. Programs will run from June 22 - July 9, 2026, Monday through Thursday, and are hosted by our Career and Technical Education Department. Learn more and apply at: Summer Credential Programs.
TPS Night at the Rainiers
TPS and the Rainiers are once again teaming up for a night at the ballpark, Wednesday, May 27. Thanks to a partnership with Tacoma Parks Foundation, a portion of each ticket sold will support access to Beyond the Bell and Club B programs. Get tickets: Tacoma Public Schools Night
Stadium Boosters
Stadium Boosters is showing the film, Screenagers Under the Influence, in the Stadium Theater on Monday, April 20. Doors open at 6:00 PM and the show will begin at 6:30 PM. There is no cost for admission, but donations are appreciated and will be accepted at the door. Stadium Boosters is hoping that this community event will provide relevant and helpful information for families and students. There will not be a general Booster meeting in May, so please carve out time to attend this event. Screenagers Under the Influence.pdf
The final Stadium Booster meeting will be on Monday, June 8. If you are interested in joining the board for the 2026-2027 school year, please email audrey@stadiumboosters.org.
The Stadium Booster Auction is less than a month away – Saturday, May 16, at the Tacoma Art Museum! Stadium Boosters is still looking for sponsorships, as well as donations of goods and services. Congresswoman Emily Randall invites high school students in Washington’s 6th Congressional District to participate in the Congressional Art Competition! This is an exciting opportunity to showcase your talents, with the first-place winner’s artwork displayed in the U.S. Capitol. My Now, My Next
Tacoma Public Schools is hosting the second annual My Now, My Next student success event. This event will celebrate student success, introduce students and families to community resources, and offer individual support to seniors still working to complete their High School and Beyond Plan (HSBP). See below for more information about the HSBP.

High School & Beyond Plan – ACTION REQUIRED
SchooLinks provides a centralized place for students to complete and track every HSBP requirement from middle school through graduation. This tool can help students explore careers, prepare for college, and track progress toward graduation.
All Stadium students need to login to SchooLinks and complete the HSBP assignments for their grade level. Students can access SchooLinks through Clever. Once in Clever, login with Office 365 and then select SchooLinks.
Seniors, it is time to finalize your High School & Beyond Plans! Here is a Student Guide to assist you with submitting your HSBPs. Let’s get ‘em done, Tigers!!
College Tours
Just a reminder that all Tacoma Public Schools families are invited to participate in our annual set of College Tours for Families.
Our Community Partnership Office, in partnership with the College Success Foundation, organized tours of seven outstanding local colleges. Guests will tour campuses and learn from college staff about their admissions process, financial aid, scholarships, and college life. Tours are designed for TPS students and families to learn together. Explore future possibilities and gain firsthand insights into programs, resources and more.

Senior Scholarships
The Dash Point Social and Improvement Club (DPSIC) is proud to provide a scholarship to a student planning to attend any two- or four-year university, college, technical school, or certificate program. Applicants must live in the Dash Point/Browns Point area, be members of the DPSIC, and have contributed considerable time, effort, and voluntary service to our community. The application is due May 1 by 5:00 PM. More information and the downloadable application are available at: Scholarship – Dash Point Social & Improvement Club.
The Willie Stewart Community Service Scholarship program celebrates and recognizes Pierce County high school seniors who have given back to their community through volunteer service. Scholarships are awarded to graduating seniors in a competitive process. Applications are due May 1 and are available here: 2026 Willie Stewart Scholarship Application.
