Realize Tacoma
Students currently in grades 9-11 can apply now for a no-cost, week-long residential program to help them deepen their understanding of Tacoma’s challenges. In the program, students spend a week in July talking with local leaders and nonprofit organizations to better understand issues like housing instability, food insecurity and mental health.
This is a partnership between Tacoma Public Schools and Annie Wright School. Applications are due March 1. Learn more and apply!
SAT – Juniors – March 13 & 14
All juniors are preregistered to take the SAT at Stadium. Although some colleges may not require SAT scores for admission, we encourage all students to test in case they need these scores in the future. Also, students may use SAT scores to meet Graduation Pathway requirements and/or retrieve credit for failed math and/or English classes.
The digital SAT will take students approximately three hours. Because the test is digital, we are unable to test all juniors at the same time. Students will test in the Stadium gym and must arrive by 8:10 AM on the following days:
- Juniors with US History 1st, 2nd, or 3rd period will test on Thursday, March 13.
- Juniors with US History 4th, 5th, or 6th period will test on Friday, March 14.
Here are some resources for your preparation:
- SAT Practice and Preparation – SAT Suite | College Board
- SAT Student Guide
- Free LIVE Tutoring is available through Tutor.com
If you have any questions about assessments at Stadium, please contact Mr. Tuman at atuman@tacoma.k12.wa.us.
