This is Principal Shannon Marshall with some important updates.

 

Please check your student’s attendance on ParentVUE. If you notice discrepancies in your student’s attendance, please check with your student and/or contact our attendance team.

 

Congratulations to our spring athletes on an outstanding season! Becker Templin took 3rd in state for boys tennis, and Cienna Chabot placed 6th in state for girls golf. In girls track, La’vaya Battle earned All-State honors with a 4th-place finish in the high jump. In boys track, Michael Bulldis placed 7th in the 800m and Jonah Neidlinger took 8th in the same event. Our girls water polo team placed 7th in state and will move up to Division 1 next year. Our boys soccer team captured the district championship and advanced to the quarterfinals of the state tournament.

 

Daily Schedule

On Monday, June 8, our seniors will visit their TPS elementary schools in their caps and gowns at 2:30 PM. Please find more information in the Commencement Guide.

Tuesday, June 9, is senior checkout. Seniors can find more details in the Commencement Guide.

Wednesday, June 10, is a late start day. School will start promptly at 9:15 AM and buses will run one hour later. Staff will be not available until 8:50 AM and Stadium’s doors will open one hour later at 8:50 AM. Please plan accordingly.

Wednesday, June 10, is graduation rehearsal. This is mandatory for seniors who wish to walk in the graduation ceremony.

On Wednesday, June 10, we will host Workday Wednesday from 2:45-4:45 PM in the Stadium Library. Students must go directly to tutoring after school and arrive by 2:55 PM.

Stadium Graduation is Thursday, June 11, at 4:30 PM at the Tacoma Dome.

Save the Dates: 9^th-11^th graders will have finals on Monday, June 15, (periods 2, 4, and 6) and Tuesday, June 16, (periods 1, 3, and 5). Wednesday, June 17, is the last day of school, and it is not a late start day. We will have 6 periods on a shortened schedule with early release at 11:30 AM. Classes will conclude at 11:00 AM and we will serve lunch from 11:00-11:30 AM..

 

Save Your Files – Update Info

Seniors and any students not returning to Stadium, before your Tacoma Public Schools (TPS) account is deactivated, please take time to back up your digital files. You can use this Save Your Files from TPS guide to help with the process.

Also, don’t forget to update your email in Parchment (www.parchment.com) to a personal (non-TPS) address. This ensures you’ll be able to access your transcripts and/or earned diploma after you leave TPS.

 

Graduation – Tacoma Dome Information

Graduation is at 4:30 PM on Thursday, June 11, at the Tacoma Dome. General admission doors will open at 3:45 PM. Tickets will be available at the Dome and are $10 each. Find more information here: Stadium Graduation.

If you plan to attend Stadium’s Class of 2026 graduation, please check the Tacoma Dome graduation website for details. Here are some important items to note:

• Clear Bag Policy
• Cashless Facility (the box office still accepts cash)
• Parking – The Dome charges $20 for all vehicles, so carpooling is recommended. Do not leave valuables in vehicles. Stadium and the Tacoma Dome are not responsible for any lost items.
• Security – No purses, backpacks, balloons, air horns, liquid string, weapons, etc. are permitted in the Tacoma Dome
• Entry Doors & Seating – Families and guests will enter through Upper SW Gate. ADA-accessible seating is available on the main floor. Visibility is not optimal, but it is easily accessible for persons with wheelchairs, heart conditions, limited vision, etc. Up to three (3) people may accompany each individual needing ADA accommodations via Lower NW Gate. There will be a roped off hearing-impaired section in the upper seating area.

• No Balloon Policy

If you are unable to attend in person, TPS’ Communications Team will broadcast graduation on Facebook and via the TV Tacoma channel that can be accessed through the TPS website and on most local cable lineups.

 

Sports Physical Resources

Sports physicals are required for all Tacoma Public Schools middle and high school students participating in school athletics. Our school-based health care centers can perform a sports physical exam, and they’re open over the summer. Yearbook Distribution

Students may pick up their yearbooks before school, during lunch, or after school in the Business Office starting Monday, June 8.

Students must show photo ID to pick up their purchased yearbook. Students may not pick up yearbooks for other students.

If you do not have classes at Stadium during pick up times, please check in at the main office to pick up your yearbook.

Yearbooks are available for purchase at the Stadium Business Office for $75 before school, during lunch, or after school while supplies last.

 

Pay Outstanding Fines

Families are encouraged to check their MySchoolBucks account to view and pay any outstanding balances. Library and textbook fines are posted.

Seniors will only receive their eight (8) complimentary graduation tickets at Senor Checkout on June 9 if all fines are paid, spring uniforms and locks are turned it, and their laptop and charger are returned. Parents/Guardians may check fines in MySchoolBucks.

Graduation Packets

Seniors, graduation packets are available for pickup in the main office. These packets contain your earned graduation cords and medallions along with reminders about the process.

 

Summer Athletics & 2026-27 Athletic Registration

Student-athletes planning to participate in summer workouts, camps, practices, or other school-sponsored athletic activities must be included on their program's summer roster on Final Forms and have a current sports physical on file before participating. Summer sports registrations will be open until June 12. 

Athletic registration for the 2026-27 school year will open on July 1. Families with questions about registration may contact Athletic Director Bridgette Lopez at BLopez1@tacoma.k12.wa.us.

Remember, sports physicals are required for all Tacoma Public Schools students participating in athletics. More information can be found on Stadium High School's Athletics & Activities website.

Stadium Parking Garage

The last day of classes for seniors is Friday, June 5, but seniors still have required morning events on campus next week. Unless you are a Stadium staff member or a Stadium senior who has purchased and been assigned a parking space, do not park in the Stadium parking garage. Violators will be towed, and underclassmen may be disqualified from participating in the lottery for parking spaces during their senior year.

 

Keep Bus Passes!

Please be sure to keep track of your student’s bus pass this summer. They will need that same pass next year to ride the school bus. The bus pass works for the duration of a student’s Tacoma Public Schools career. If a student switches routes, schools, addresses, etc., the same bus pass will still work.

Replacing a bus pass will cost $5. Students who qualify for free and reduced-price lunch will not be charged for replacements.

As a reminder, students receiving special education transportation do not carry a pass.

 

School Laptops

All students can keep their school-issued laptop at home over the summer. Students will use the same laptop next year. If your student is changing schools within TPS, they will keep their laptop over the summer and take it with them to their new school.

 

Summer Meals

The Summer Meal Program provides free lunch to anyone 18 and younger. In addition, games, crafts, and other activities will be led by Parks Tacoma staff.

• When: Monday-Friday, June 22-August 28, 12:30-1:30 PM (no programs on July 3)
• Where: These parks across Tacoma

Please note, meals must be eaten on site. Games and activities will be run from 10 AM to 12:30 PM but are dependent on staffing and may not occur at all locations.

 

Summer Reading  

Readers of all ages are invited to join Summer Reading at Tacoma Public Library. Sign up online or in-person at any library starting on June 2. Students can track their reading and activities, then complete a reading log and pick up prizes by August 15. 

 

Summer Late Nights – June

Once again, the community is coming together to offer a fun, safe place for kids to hang out in the summer. On June 22, Summer Late Nights opens for students starting 7th grade through 12th grade in the fall.  They can get dinner every weeknight and participate in open gym and field activities, art and music, and gaming from 5:00-10:00 PM.

Summer Late Nights is a free drop-in program. Students can attend as often as they like. We encourage you to register on Compass. You can get more information on the TPS website.
