Please check your student’s attendance on ParentVUE. If you notice discrepancies in your student’s attendance, please check with your student and/or contact our attendance team.

 

Daily Schedule

Monday, June 9, is the last Booster meeting of the year at 6:00 PM in the Stadium Library or via Zoom.

Please pick up your yearbook during lunch or after school by Tuesday, June 10.

The Senior Scholarship Night is Tuesday, June 10, at 6:00 PM. Seniors receiving scholarships were notified by Mrs. Rogers via their TPS email.

Wednesday, June 11, is a Late Start Day. School will start promptly at 9:15 AM and buses will run one hour later.

On Wednesday, June 11, seniors will pick up their Senior Clearance Forms in the PAC foyer before school.

We will also have our Moving Up Assembly on Wednesday, June 11, so we will be on an assembly schedule. Please see the assembly schedule on the Stadium website.

Thursday, June 12, is senior checkout. Seniors can find more details in the Commencement Guide.

We will have Tiger Thursday tutoring on Thursday, June 12, from 2:45-4:45 PM in the Stadium library.

On Friday, June 13, our seniors will visit their TPS elementary schools in their caps and gowns at 2:30 PM. Please find more information in the Commencement Guide.

For your advanced planning, our 9^th-11^th graders will have finals on Monday, June 16, (periods 2, 4, and 6) and Tuesday, June 17, (periods 1, 3, and 5). Wednesday, June 18, is a Late Start Day. There will be no school on Thursday, June 19, for Juneteenth. Thursday, June 20, is the last day of school, and we will have 6 periods on a shortened schedule and will have early release at 11:30 AM.

 

Dress Code Reminders

As the weather warms up, we want to remind families about our dress expectations to ensure students are comfortable and appropriately dressed for our learning environment.

Shorts and skirts need to provide enough coverage so that fabric remains between the student and their seat when sitting. This is a hygiene concern. Full shirts are required. Shirts must have sleeves or straps with no more than a two-inch gap at the waist. For the entire dress code, please see our online handbook: Handbook - Stadium High School.

To help students stay in class and minimize disruption to learning, we’ve been offering clothing from our Care Closet when needed. However, these items are intended to support students in need, and we would greatly appreciate your help in ensuring students come to school dressed in a way that aligns with our guidelines.

Stadium Parking Garage

The last day of classes for seniors is Wednesday, June 11, but seniors still have required morning events on campus. Unless you are a Stadium staff member or a Stadium senior who has purchased and been assigned a parking space, do not park in the Stadium parking garage. Violators will be towed, and underclassmen may be disqualified from participating in the lottery for parking spaces for next year.

 

Keep Bus Passes!

Please be sure to keep track of your student’s bus pass this summer. They will need that same pass next year to ride the school bus. The bus pass works for the duration of a student’s Tacoma Public Schools career. If a student switches routes, schools, addresses, etc., the same bus pass will still work.

Replacing a bus pass will cost $5. Students who qualify for free and reduced-price lunch will not be charged for replacements.

As a reminder, students receiving special education transportation do not carry a pass.

 

School Laptops

All students can keep their school-issued laptop at home over the summer. Students will use the same laptop next year. If your student is changing schools within TPS, they will keep their laptop over the summer and take it with them to their new school.

 

Pay Outstanding Fines

Seniors, please check your TPS email carefully. Mrs. Rogers has sent out notices to students who still owe fines or have outstanding materials. Seniors WILL NOT receive their eight (8) complimentary graduation tickets at Senor Checkout on June 12 if they owe money. Parents/Guardians may check fines in MySchoolBucks.

This may be a good opportunity for all families to check their MySchoolBucks accounts for outstanding fines.

As we plan for the 2025–2026 school year, our staff is exploring ways to kick things off with excitement, connection, and a strong sense of community. We would love your input on possible formats for our Fall 2025 Back to School Night. Thank you for taking a moment to share your feedback!

 

College & Career Center Update

Mikaela Mattes with the College Success Foundation welcomes students into the College & Career Center before school by appointment, during lunches, and after school Monday-Thursday. After school Mikaela provides opportunities for support with financial aid, scholarships, and all things college related. Her after school schedule for this week is:

Sports Physical Resources

Sports physicals are required for all Tacoma Public Schools middle and high school students participating in school athletics. Our school-based health care centers can perform a sports physical exam, and they’re open over the summer. Stadium Boosters

The annual fundraising auction celebrated the second-highest gross ever at $125,000.00! Thanks to generous donors at the auction as well as an anonymous matching donation, the new scholarship fund received an amazing $28,000 boost! Instead of $1,500.00 in scholarships to Stadium seniors, Boosters will be presenting fifteen seniors with $500 scholarships at the senior award ceremony! Boosters is looking to fill several board seats next year, including vice president and treasurer. We are also looking for a committee chair for Movie in the Bowl - 10 Things I Hate About You.

Guidance Counselor Update

Ms. Mickelson will be out of the office for the remainder of the school year. To ensure continued support for all students, we have made temporary adjustments to counselor assignments:

We’re grateful that our counselors conducted individual student meetings throughout the spring. They are now focused on making sure all seniors are fully prepared for graduation.

Students are encouraged to connect with their assigned counselor before school, during lunch, or after school as needed.

 

Graduation Packets

Seniors, graduation packets were distributed during lunches on Tuesday, June 3. Each packet contains some Class of 2025 swag and your earned graduation cords and medallions. Every senior has an envelope! If you were not able to get your items, they are in the main office.

 

Yearbook Distribution

Please plan to pick up your yearbook by Tuesday, June 10.

Students must show photo ID to pick up their purchased yearbook. Students may not pick up yearbooks for other students. If you would like to purchase a yearbook, you may do so before school, during your lunch, or after school in the Stadium Business Office for $75.00.

If you do not have classes at Stadium during pick up times, please check in at the main office to pick up your yearbook.

 

2025-26 Athletic Registration

Athletic registration for the 2025-26 school year is scheduled to open on July 1. If you would like more information about registering for next year, please contact our Athletic Director, Bridgette Lopez, at stadiumathletics@tacoma.k12.wa.us.

Sports physicals are required for all TPS students participating in school athletics. Please visit Stadium’s Athletics & Activities website for more information.

 

9^th, 10^th, and 11^th Grade Opportunity

The Elizabeth Wesley Youth Merit Incentive Award application is now available. This award is for African American students in the 9^th, 10^th & 11^th grades with a minimum GPA of 2.5 (cumulative). Students who meet award criteria are eligible for a $350 incentive award. Electronic and paper applications are due June 30 and are available here: www.ewesleyaward.org

 

2025 Summer Late Nights

Starting June 23, Summer Late Nights opens across Tacoma! Schools, community centers, and non-profits are again opening their doors to provide safe places for teens to be engaged. Middle and high school students can eat dinner, participate in open gym, take part in art and music activities, and hang out with friends.

Summer Late Nights is a drop-in program, and teens can attend as often as they like with no cost. Parents/guardians are encouraged to register their student online so facilities can properly prepare. For more information, locations, and to register, please visit the TPS Summer Late Nights website. All locations are open from 5:00-10:00 PM, Monday-Friday from June 23-August 29.

 

Summer Meals

The Parks Tacoma Summer Meal Program provides free lunch to all youth aged 18 and younger over the summer, from June 23 to August 28. 

In addition, games, crafts and other activities are led by Parks Tacoma staff. 

Through SUN Bucks, some children are eligible for funding for meals during the summer, when school meals aren’t available. The SUN Bucks benefit is a one-time payment of $120 per eligible child in each household.
