Please check your student’s attendance on ParentVUE. If you notice discrepancies in your student’s attendance, please check with your student and/or contact our attendance team.

 

Daily Schedule

On Monday, June 1, 10^th graders with last names A-K will take the Smarter Balanced ELA Assessment. Students will report to the main gym at 8:10 AM. See more details below.

On Tuesday, June 2, 10^th graders with last names L-Z will take the Smarter Balanced ELA Assessment. Students will report to the main gym at 8:10 AM. See more details below.

On Tuesday, June 2, seniors may pick up their pre-purchased yearbooks during their lunch or after school in Room 134. See more details below.

The Senior Scholarship Night is Tuesday, June 2, at 6:00 PM in the Stadium Courtyard. Seniors receiving scholarships were notified by Ms. Mattes via their TPS email.

Wednesday, June 3, is a late start day. School will start promptly at 9:15 AM and buses will run one hour later. Staff will be not available until 8:50 AM and Stadium’s doors will open one hour later at 8:50 AM. Please plan accordingly.

On Wednesday, June 3, all students may pick up their pre-purchased yearbooks during their lunch or after school in Room 134. See more details below.

On Wednesday, June 3, we will host Workday Wednesday from 2:45-4:45 PM in the Stadium Library. Students must go directly to tutoring after school and arrive by 2:55 PM.

On Thursday, June 4, 10^th graders with last names L-Z will take the Smarter Balanced Math Assessment. Students will report to the main gym at 8:10 AM. See more details below.

On Friday, June 5, 11^th graders will take the WA Comprehensive Assessment of Science (WCAS). Students will report to the main gym at 8:10 AM. See more details below.

On Friday, June 5, seniors will pick up their Senior Clearance Forms in the PAC before school.

On Friday, June 5, we will have our Moving Up Assembly, so we will be on an assembly bell schedule. Please plan accordingly.

On Friday, June 5, ASB will host the 2^nd Annual Senior Field Day directly after the Moving Up Assembly and it will conclude by 5:00 PM. This free event – exclusively for Stadium seniors – will include games and ice cream!

A signing celebration for senior athletes and their families will take place in the Stadium main gym on Friday, June 5, at 5:30 PM. We will celebrate our senior athletes who have committed to playing at the next level – well done, student athletes!

Save the Dates: 9^th-11^th graders will have finals on Monday, June 15, (periods 2, 4, and 6) and Tuesday, June 16, (periods 1, 3, and 5). Wednesday, June 17, is the last day of school, and it is not a late start day. We will have 6 periods on a shortened schedule with early release at 11:30 AM.

 

Pay Outstanding Fines

Families are encouraged to check their MySchoolBucks account to view and pay any outstanding balances. Library and textbook fines will be posted on June 3.

Seniors will only receive their eight (8) complimentary graduation tickets at Senor Checkout on June 9 if all fines are paid, spring uniforms and locks are turned it, and their laptop and charger are returned. Parents/Guardians may check fines in MySchoolBucks.

Graduation Packets

Seniors, graduation packets are available for pickup in the main office. These packets contain your earned graduation cords and medallions along with reminders about the process.

 

Summer Athletics & 2026-27 Athletic Registration

Student-athletes planning to participate in summer workouts, camps, practices, or other school-sponsored athletic activities must be included on their program's summer roster on Final Forms and have a current sports physical on file before participating. Summer sports registrations will be open until June 12. 

Athletic registration for the 2026-27 school year will open on July 1. Families with questions about registration may contact Athletic Director Bridgette Lopez at BLopez1@tacoma.k12.wa.us.

Remember, sports physicals are required for all Tacoma Public Schools students participating in athletics. More information can be found on Stadium High School's Athletics & Activities website.

Stadium Parking Garage

The last day of classes for seniors is Friday, June 5, but seniors still have required morning events on campus next week. Unless you are a Stadium staff member or a Stadium senior who has purchased and been assigned a parking space, do not park in the Stadium parking garage. Violators will be towed, and underclassmen may be disqualified from participating in the lottery for parking spaces during their senior year.

 

Keep Bus Passes!

Please be sure to keep track of your student’s bus pass this summer. They will need that same pass next year to ride the school bus. The bus pass works for the duration of a student’s Tacoma Public Schools career. If a student switches routes, schools, addresses, etc., the same bus pass will still work.

Replacing a bus pass will cost $5. Students who qualify for free and reduced-price lunch will not be charged for replacements.

As a reminder, students receiving special education transportation do not carry a pass.

 

School Laptops

All students can keep their school-issued laptop at home over the summer. Students will use the same laptop next year. If your student is changing schools within TPS, they will keep their laptop over the summer and take it with them to their new school.

 

Summer Meals

The Summer Meal Program provides free lunch to anyone 18 and younger. In addition, games, crafts, and other activities will be led by Parks Tacoma staff.

• When: Monday-Friday, June 22-August 28, 12:30-1:30 PM (no programs on July 3)
• Where: These parks across Tacoma

Please note, meals must be eaten on site. Games and activities will be run from 10 AM to 12:30 PM but are dependent on staffing and may not occur at all locations.

 

Summer Reading  

Readers of all ages are invited to join Summer Reading at Tacoma Public Library. Sign up online or in-person at any library starting on June 2. Students can track their reading and activities, then complete a reading log and pick up prizes by August 15. 

 

Summer Childcare

The Tacoma Childcare Collaborative provides summer childcare options for those 5-18 years old. Get detailed information and learn how to enroll.

June Testing Schedule

The Smarter Balanced Assessment (SBA) is required for sophomores. Students will report to the main gym at the start of 1^st period with their charged TPS laptop and charging cord – loaner computers do not have the necessary testing application, so students must come prepared with their assigned laptop. Please be on time!

Students will have a school-related, excused absence from class when they are testing.

Yearbook Distribution

Seniors may pick up their pre-purchased yearbooks in Room 134 on June 2 during lunch or after school.

Distribution of pre-purchased yearbooks for all students will begin on June 3 in Room 134 during lunch or after school.

Students must show photo ID to pick up their purchased yearbook. Students may not pick up yearbooks for other students. If you would like to purchase a yearbook, you may do so before school, during your lunch, or after school in the Stadium Business Office for $75.00.

If you do not have classes at Stadium during pick up times, please check in at the main office to pick up your yearbook.

Yearbooks are available for purchase at the Stadium Business Office while supplies last.

 

Safe Driving Reminder

As we near the end of the school year, more students are driving themselves to and from campus. Please take a moment to talk with your student—and as drivers yourselves—to help ensure we are all doing our part to keep our school community safe.

We kindly remind everyone to:

• Obey all traffic laws and posted signs
• Slow down, especially in school zones and surrounding neighborhoods
• Stay off cell phones and electronic devices while driving
• Be alert and watchful for pedestrians, cyclists, pets, and other vehicles
• Use extra caution during drop-off and pick-up times, when the area is most congested

Futures 253 – Start Investing

Check out a new program giving Tacoma Public Schools students a powerful opportunity to invest in their futures. Participating students contribute $150 of earned income into a Roth IRA established in their name. After meeting program requirements, students receive a $100 incentive grant from the Tacoma Education Dream Fund. In addition to opening an account, students complete an investing basics course and submit a reflection essay, gaining firsthand experience in saving, investing, and understanding financial risk.

Student School Board Rep

Applications are now open for the 2026–27 Tacoma Public Schools Student School Board Representative program. This is an opportunity for current 10^th and 11^th grade students to serve as student leaders representing the voices, experiences and perspectives of students across the school district.

Summer Late Nights – June

Once again, the community is coming together to offer a fun, safe place for kids to hang out in the summer. On June 22, Summer Late Nights opens for students starting 7th grade through 12th grade in the fall.  They can get dinner every weeknight and participate in open gym and field activities, art and music, and gaming from 5:00-10:00 PM.

Summer Late Nights is a free drop-in program. Students can attend as often as they like. We encourage you to register on Compass. You can get more information on the TPS website.
