Honoring Our Veterans

Student Password Reset

All students in grades 6-12 will be required to reset their passwords as part of our annual security process. High school students will begin receiving notifications on Tuesday, November 4. This annual password reset is a key part of our commitment to ensuring a secure online learning environment.

Students, as you are prompted to reset your password, keep in mind that passwords must include:

  • At least 8 characters
  • A combination of uppercase and lowercase letters
  • Numbers
  • Special characters

Previous passwords may not be reused, and Stadium staff do not have access to student passwords. If you need assistance with the annual password reset, please visit Student Annual Password Reset Instructions.

Winter Athletics

The winter sports season starts on Monday, November 17 (Bowling starts on November 3). If you are interested in Boys or Girls Basketball, Girls Bowling, Girls Flag Football, Boys Swim & Dive, or Boys or Girls Wrestling this is your season! Please find athletic information on the Stadium Athletics website. All student athletes must register using the Final Forms registration system. To participate, student athletes need to have all forms completed, a stamped sports physical submitted and reviewed prior to the first day of practice, a current 2025-2026 ASB membership, and their winter Pay to Participate validated in Final Forms.

Families may pay the $90 Pay to Participate fee for the winter season in MySchoolBucks. If you are direct-certified or have qualified through the Household Information Survey, your cost for Pay to Participate is $0 – you will still need to “pay” in MySchoolBucks by selecting “$0.” This will validate your Pay to Participate requirement in Final Forms.

If you have any questions, please email stadiumathletics@tacoma.k12.wa.us.

Tickets for Stadium’s Production of Elf, Jr.

Healthy Youth Survey

This fall, students in grades 6, 8, 10 and 12 across Washington State took the Healthy Youth Survey. If your student is a sophomore or a senior and has not yet taken the survey, please have them do so here: - My ASP.NET Application.

The survey is run every other year, and results help track health behaviors over time and are used to identify important areas of need. This survey is anonymous. It takes about 30 minutes. Students can skip questions or stop taking the survey at any time.

The results from 2023 survey brought in a new $3 million mental health grant for TPS.

The Collective Weekend Update (Formerly College & Career Center Update)

On Monday, November 3, during both lunches, a representative from Pacific Lutheran University will be in Room 117 to share information about the university and the application process. All interested students are welcome to attend during their lunch!

Jazz Band Fundraiser

On Thursday, November 13, our Stadium Jazz Bands will perform at Dystopian State at 7:00 PM. There’s a suggested donation of $10 at the door, and food trucks will be donating a portion of their sales to the Jazz Band fundraiser. Come out and see our Jazz Bands rock!

Breakfast/Lunch for All TPS Students

All Tacoma Public Schools students can enjoy breakfast and lunch at school at no cost. These meals are provided without an application or need to qualify for free or reduced-price meals. Meals are available to all students, even if they bring food from home. They just need to be at school at the times meals are served.

Need extra support? Visit our Community Resources for Students and Families page for information about local food banks and other support options.

Winter Advisories

Winter is right around the corner, and sometimes that weather impacts our school schedule. When that happens, Tacoma Public Schools will communicate with you several ways, including email, calls, texts, and the information will be posted on the TPS website and TPS Facebook.

Reminders from last week…

Litter Reminder

Tigers, it is imperative that you take care of your trash after lunch and throughout the day. We have enough garbage cans in the lunchroom, in the hallways, and in the courtyard. Use them! Keep the most beautiful high school in America clean!

World Language Competency Exam

The World Language Competency Exam is an opportunity for 10th, 11th, and 12th grade students to earn up to four (4.0) high school credits in a world language. Students may earn the Washington State Seal of Biliteracy when they demonstrate competency in English and a world language.

Students, are you a heritage speaker and fluent in reading, writing, listening, and speaking a language other than English? If so, we encourage you take the World Language Competency Exam with our school's World Language Assessment Liaison, Ms. Pearce. The registration deadline is November 14. The exam will take place this winter and those testing will receive more information.

Copilot and Colleague AI available

TPS students now have access to two AI tools. Microsoft Copilot is available to students in grades 8-12. This tool is a chatbot available in the Edge internet browser on student laptops and helps students with research, writing, and problem-solving while maintaining academic integrity standards. Colleague AI is available to students in grades 6-12 and is a tool set up by the classroom teacher to provide learning and tutoring support.

We encourage families to talk with their children about using AI responsibly. Appropriate use includes asking AI to help brainstorm ideas for a project, get feedback on grammar or sentence structure, or translating complex language for better understanding. Inappropriate use includes asking AI to write an entire essay and submitting it as your own, using AI to cheat on tests or assignments, or asking AI about harmful or unsafe topics.

Learn more about AI in schools.
