Fragrances at School
Please remember that school is a fragrance-free zone. We have students and staff alike who have severe allergies and health impairments to fragrances. Thank you for being cognizant and supporting everyone in our building.
Keeping students safe at school
We all have a role to play in keeping our schools safe.
- Bullying is not tolerated. Bullying, harassment, or intimidation can take many forms, including online posts, and verbal or physical acts. Report harassment, bullying or intimidation here.
- Schools are weapon-free, drug-free, tobacco-free, and alcohol-free zones
- Threatening a school is a crime. Any threat to a school, student, or staff member is taken seriously. If you see something, say something. We encourage everyone in our community who sees or hears a threat to call 911 and notify the school.
When should kids stay home from school?
Take a look at our website for tips to understand when students are too sick to be at school and when they can return to normal activities.
If you're looking for a healthcare resource, MultiCare and SeaMar offer school-based clinic services to all Tacoma Public Schools students. The clinics are at Mount Tahoma High School and Lincoln High School. Get more information about the services they offer and when:

Reminders from last week…
Cell Phone & Electronic Device Policy at Stadium High School
As a reminder Stadium High School is operating under a no electronics policy rolled out during the 25-26 school year. The building‑wide policy will continue this year and is designed to help students stay focused, minimize distractions, and make the most of their learning time. Research and experience show that reducing personal device use during class leads to stronger engagement and academic success.
All students and staff will follow this policy:
- No personal device use during class time (bell to bell) – this includes cell phones, tablets, earbuds, headphones, and other personal electronic devices.
- Devices must be silent, out of sight, and kept in bags during class.
- When leaving class for any reason (bathroom, etc.), students will leave devices in their bag in the classroom.
- Personal devices will not be used for independent work time or as a reward during class.
- Phones may be used before school, during lunch, and after school.
To ensure students have the tools they need for learning, all students are provided with a district‑issued laptop. Families should make sure laptops are fully charged each night, so students are prepared for class.
Please refrain from calling or texting your student during the school day. If you need to reach them urgently while they are in class, contact our main office and we will notify them on your behalf. Phones used during class time will be confiscated, regardless of who the student is communicating with.
When a phone is confiscated:
- The device will be held in an assistant principal’s office until the end of the school day.
- Repeated violations may result in a parent/guardian being required to pick up the phone and could lead to additional consequences.
Thank you for partnering with us in creating a focused and positive learning environment for all Stadium Tigers as we begin this school year together!
Catching the bus
If your child plans to take the bus to school, please download our free transportation app, My Ride K-12, for bus stop location, route and pickup times. Your child’s bus route should be available now!
Keep on track with school calendars
Stay on top of the school calendar throughout the year! You can download school calendars here or order a printed copy in MySchoolBucks.
Lockers
Requests for lockers are now available. Students will find the QR code to the locker form outside the main office and the business office. Students may also access the Locker Request 26-27 from their TPS Office 365 account.
DonorsChoose
If you’re looking for a way to support work going on in TPS classrooms, consider DonorsChoose. It’s an online platform through which teachers can post a classroom project, and people can donate any amount to help bring that project to life. Donations fund materials not typically purchased by a school's budget. Materials will be shipped directly to the school. Norpoint Way and SR-509 Update
The city of Tacoma has shared the following update regarding the instillation of Automated enforcement cameras:
The City of Tacoma is installing two new automated speed enforcement cameras: One on Norpoint Way NE (eastbound going up the hill) and one on SR-509/Marine View Drive (northbound going into downtown Tacoma). The cameras will begin operating on September 14, 2026. A one-month warning period will occur before citations are issued. Citations are $145 civil infractions. These corridors have experienced high levels of speeding and/or serious crashes. The cameras are intended to reduce speed and improve safety for everyone using those streets. Please remember to drive the speed limit. For more information, visit tacoma.gov/automatedenforcement.
Free vaccinations event
Free vaccinations will be available to Tacoma Public Schools students at an event at the MultiCare clinic at Mount Tahoma High School. Event details:
- When: Thursday, Sept. 24, from 3:15-6:15 p.m.
- Where: MultiCare Clinic at Mount Tahoma High School: 4634 S. 74th St., Tacoma
- Prepare: Register here
Visitors & Volunteers
Parents/Guardians are welcome at Stadium High School during the day by appointment and in the evening for events. Upon entering the building during school hours, visitors must sign in at the main office.
Tacoma Public School’s volunteer registration process requires that all parents/guardians and community members complete a Volunteer Form and a Washington State Patrol Criminal History background check before volunteering. You must complete the volunteer registration form each school year, so if you would like to volunteer in the 2026-27 school year, please complete a new form. Forms are available on the Tacoma Public Schools volunteer website. Forms should be completed a minimum of two (2) weeks prior to volunteering.
Have a great week, Tigers!
