What can I bring inside the Tacoma Dome?

Only clear bags are allowed inside the Tacoma Dome to expedite entry and reduce touch points for security staff and guests. They will examine all bags, graduates and staff included.

Bags may only be clear plastic, vinyl, or PVC, sized 12"x6"x12" or smaller
Small clutch purses are okay if sized 4.5"x6.5" or smaller
One gallon plastic storage bags are okay
Tacoma Dome clear bags are available for purchase on-site and at Stocklist Goods

No helium filled balloons, air horns, liquid string in aerosol cans, purses, or backpacks are permitted inside the Dome.

How many tickets does each student get?

Each graduate will receive 8 tickets. Additional tickets will be available to purchase at the school for $5 each. Tickets will also be available for purchase at the Tacoma Dome the day of graduation, cash sales only.

Entrance is by ticket only. Each group will get a seating placement noted on their tickets.

ADA-accessible seating will be available. People with disabilities will be able to sit with the group their graduate invited.

When can I arrive at the Dome?

What parking is available at the Dome?

Parking costs $15.00 per vehicle. We ask that families carpool to the event to ensure there’s enough space for everyone in the parking lot. Graduates and attendees can park in lots A, F, G, C, and the LeMay Car Museum lot.

Parking lots D, E, and K are for attendees with disabilities and are van accessible. Vehicles utilizing accessible parking lots must display appropriate placard, tabs, or license plates. All Tacoma Dome lots are wheelchair accessible.

What public transportation is available to the Dome?

There is more than one way to get to graduation! The Tacoma Dome is served by bus and light rail service. Check out the public transportation options below.

By bus: The Tacoma Dome Station is served by Pierce Transit, Sound Transit and Intercity Transit.

By rail: The Tacoma Link Light Rail provides transportation to and from Tacoma Dome Station.

How can I watch from home?

Watch Graduation Live Stream

For those who need closed captions, you can watch the Livestream on our district YouTube, and on our website for all other events. For local friends and family without internet service, ceremonies will be broadcast on KTPS TV Comcast Channel 26 or Click/Rainier Connect Channel 25.

Graduations will be broadcast on the Tacoma Public Schools Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/tacomaschools/. Remember to click "Like" and "Follow" on our Facebook page to receive notifications on your phone when the graduation starts.

Class of 2022 Commencement Guide

When is graduation rehearsal for graduates?

Per Tacoma Public School Regulation 2410R, all students must participate in rehearsal to be included in the graduation ceremony. Graduation Rehearsal is Monday, June 13 from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Stadium in the main gym. Graduates are responsible for their own transportation.

At graduation, graduates will enter the seating area in groups of four (4). Graduates should be prepared with their walking groups prior to rehearsal. If graduates do not have a group of four, Stadium staff will create groups of four at rehearsal. All groups will have four graduates.
